INT Works on an iPad

INT works is the design studio which sprung up from highly successful publishers It's Nice That. They work with a diverse range of clients producing idea driven, visually stunning work across product, print, installation and moving image.

They came to us with a layout and a clear focus - to show their work in as smooth and frictionless way as possible. We worked collaboratively during the build to ensure our visions of how the site should feel were in line. The site is functional across desktop, laptop, tablet and smartphone.

responsive design for mobile

On a site as simple as this the mobile use case was extremely stripped back - we provided just the basic contact details.

Rather than designing just for a specific device we used screen resolution to alter the layout. This means that in the future as new internet-enabled devices are released into the market the site will continue to be functional.

One of the main technical challenges in building the site was the custom slideshow. The slideshow is highly flexible - it can accommodate unlimited images and video and an unlimited number of projects. This allows staff at INT Works to add and remove projects as necessary.

Artquest Rolling Deadlines page

Artquest is a London based non-profit organisation which provided critical engagement practical support to visual artists online and through an ongoing program of events and talks. They recently celebrated their 10th anniversary, and are regarded as one of the best sources of information for visual artists and craftspeople.

To draw out related content we built a custom system using ExpressionEngine which allows videos, audio, text or downloads to be displayed on a page depending on it's relevance. The system also allows opportunities and articles to be pulled in from external sites.

Ready Steady Bang on the iPad

Ready Steady Bang is a quick fire shooting game for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch that brings the wild west to your finger tip. A collaboration between Chambers Judd and Animade, it's been downloaded over 250,000 times from the iTunes App store.

Ready Steady Bang character select screen

The format of the game is simple. Two cowboys stand opposite one another on the screen. A voice says 'Ready, steady… bang!'. The first person to tap the screen after 'bang!' shoots the other character and wins. Their reward - seeing their opponent die one of 31 bizarre and/or grizzly deaths.

Ready Steady Bang win screen

The game was launched alongside a video entitled 30 ways to kill a cowboy to promote the Cowboy and showoff the incredible character animation that is the backbone of the game.
