We were asked by East London production company Agile Films to rebuild their website from the ground up. Agile are an energetic bunch who produce a very large volume of work. It was important that the website communicate this energy on the home page, while still providing a clear way to delineate between the content underneath. Our approach was to have the home page appear as kind of activity stream, with a latest projects thumbnail gallery at the top, together with a more curated “featured” section underneath. This is offset with a twitter feed in the right hand column.

Jamie Brown is a London-based illustrator who as well as being a tremendously nice chap, creates bold, playful, site-specific work. We worked in a development capacity with Jamie and designers Studio Åh to build a site which allowed Jamie to collect his frankly enormous body of work in a system of categories which made sense, as well integrating an online shop and blog.

Artquest encourages critical engagement and provides practical support to London's visual artists throughout their careers. Chambers Judd are currently working with Artquest to re-design their site to better expose their rich content, as well as streamlining admin for staff.

We will be launching Artquest's new site before the end of september.

ECE Architecture

We worked with Design agency It's Nice That to build a website for Architecture firm ECE. The site is based on a strict grid system, so we developed a strategy with the SASS css framework.

Animade is an animation blog and archive. It provides an online space where we can store inspirational videos. It works nicely as a blog, feeding all its new content through to the animade facebook page and twitter account. As wel as being a great source of current animation content, animade's search and category functionality make it the perfect place for animation students and professionals to filter an ever growing back-catalogue of videos.

Ready Steady Bang

Ready Steady Bang is an iPhone and iPad game that we produced and developed with animation provided by the very talented Ed Barrett. It's a beautifully addictive quick-fire dueling game. Play face-to-face with a friend in 2 player mode or pit your trigger finger against 10 of the fastest outlaws and collect a hoard of achievements along the way. Progress through the game to unlock 31 unique cowboy deaths, then show them off in your Kill Gallery. Game Center integration allows you to compete against a world of cowboys and girls.

HTC Flyer - The Pen

For HTC / Figtree

We produced and directed this online video that covers the history of the Pen and introduces HTC's new tablet inovation. Fig tree provided us with story boards and illustrations, we took these and animated them into a flowing exploration of man and pen, ending on a live-action pack shot. The on screen content was animated in After Effects and composited under the hand.

Bruce

Bruce is an award winning animation that explores how advances in open-source synthetic biology allow a young man to grow his very own tiny Bruce Willis from a lump of mince. Running at just over three minutes, Bruce pokes at one possible ramification of synthetic biology by positioning it inline with the open-source microprocessor project Arduino.

Bruce was digitally animated by hand using Photoshop and Aftereffects, with a splash of Maya for the more exuberant 3D moves. If you would like any more information about Bruce please get in touch.

Rubbed Out

A one minute animation that explores the relationship between a pencil and a light switch. This film was produced as a promotional piece for another Chambers Judd project animade.tv. The film is constructed using a simple dual camera setup in Maya. One being a point of view shot from the pencil's perspective, the other a simple subjective shot exposing both characters.

HTC - International Commercials

With Amp London, Agile Films

Chambers Judd directed and animated a series of international HTC TV commercials. Working to the HTC doodle brand we created 4 ads that use a pinch of humour to inform the viewer about 'HTC sense'.

The spots were produced by Agile Films with creative direction from Amp London. Big thanks has to go to Ed Barrett who took on the role of head animator with total dedication and tremendous results.
